Quote from Runor
Context and Discovery The stone was shown to J. H. Wallman in 1833, when he visited the church in Follingbo. He made a sketch drawing of the stone, with a few runes inside and outside two crossing ribbons (GR II, pp. 242–243, G 219).

Description of Ornament and Images The drawing shows two crossing runic bands, crossed or delimited by a thin ornamental ribbon, possibly an additional, ornamental serpent.

Interpretation of the Imagery Svärdström indicates that the fragment is reminiscent of the runestone fragment GP 88 Follingbo kyrka (G 218) and that it can possibly be identical to this, or that it can be another fragment of the same stone (GR II, p. 243). However, the ornament seems to be more similar to the ornament of the fragment GP 87 Follingbo Hallfrede (G 220).

Beskrivning
