Context and Discovery Found in 1971 as spolia in the floor of Martebo Church during restorations. The monument is now displayed in the church's armory. HS
Measurements, Material and Condition Top cut off straight. A rectagular hole is damaging the stone in the central part of the lower half. Just above, the surface is smoothly eroded by footsteps. The stone combines different carving techniques. The boat is created with incised lines and a very low carved out relief, reminding of other A-stones. Other motifs, especially the ornament on the left, are carved in a protruding bas-relief technique that is not known previously from the A-stones. Only spiral motifs appear as a somewhat more bas-relief-like style on other stones as well. HS
